Umuode Skills Acquisition Center Formal Opening

Today, Dewdrop Foundation held the official opening ceremony of the Umuode Skills Acquisition Center, a significant milestone in the community’s journey toward self-sufficiency and empowerment. The ceremony was attended by various dignitaries, including local government officials, traditional leaders, and members of the community, who all expressed their deep appreciation for the Foundation’s unwavering dedication to improving the lives of the Umuode people.

Community leaders took the opportunity to highlight the critical role that the Dewdrop Foundation has played in ensuring that the Skills Acquisition Center is not only well-equipped but also fully operational, providing the necessary resources for individuals to learn valuable skills that will enhance their livelihoods.

Prof. Bart Nnaji, commended the Dewdrop Foundation for its continuous contributions to the development of the Umuode community. He urged the youth and women to fully engage with the opportunities presented by the Skills Acquisition Center, emphasizing that acquiring life skills is essential for their personal development and long-term empowerment. “This center is a beacon of hope,” he stated, “and it is up to you to harness the knowledge and skills offered here to shape a better future for yourselves and your community.”

His Royal Highness, Igwe Moses Idenyi Ode II, also praised the Dewdrop Foundation for its sustained efforts in various empowerment and development projects within Umuode. He acknowledged the Foundation’s consistent interventions, which have significantly contributed to the social and economic advancement of the community. The Igwe expressed his confidence that the Skills Acquisition Center would become a cornerstone for the community’s growth, fostering a new generation of skilled and self-reliant individuals.

The event concluded with a tour of the center, where attendees were shown the various facilities and programs available, ranging from vocational training in areas such as tailoring, carpentry, and ICT, to courses focused on entrepreneurship and financial literacy.
