Our mission is to build the capacity of communities especially the vulnerable populations to become self-reliant and empowered through inclusive governance and sustainable development interventions.
Key local partners of Dewdrop Foundation collaborate and provide support by providing expertise and services to the Foundation’s programs. We continue to grow our partnerships to continue to help those in need of our services and assistance.
Are you concerned about those in need of our assistance? Then help us help those in need by either donating your time and/or resources. Join us today and be on the front-lines as we battle against illiteracy and poverty by empowering those in need.
DDF started as an organization whose work largely focused on Caregivers. However, our field experience over the years on the intersecting challenges faced by rights holders, led to our additional focus on community development issues as key for addressing and eliminating the root causes of labour and human rights abuses in rural communities.
YEARS OF CARE
We strive to unlock the potential of women and young individuals by providing them with the necessary tools, resources, and opportunities. Through workshops, mentorship programs, and skill-building initiatives, we equip them with the knowledge and confidence to succeed in various aspects of life.
We advocate for the prevention of elder violence and abuse in communities through sensitization and awareness campaigns, policy advice and established a platform (safe space) – called Seenagers Associations, this safe space gives the elderly a voice to speak about issues of concern to them.
We achieve our Community Development objectives by implementing the “GHEEES Model” as follows:
Seenagers Association
Elders Empowered
Community Development Projects
Trained Caregivers
Voice Elderly Community of Practice Learning Workshop facilitated by Cognito the Linking and Learning facilitators of Voice Program in Nigeria.
Dewdrop Foundation carried out the Umuode Women Voice Roundtable Meeting with the Women Cooperative group and women leaders.
