Drop out from school is a global phenomenon. In Nigeria, people dropout from school for various reasons like early marriage, pregnancy, religious factors, socio-economic factors, school related factors and ill health. Dewdrop Foundation intervention in this area includes; sensitization programs as well as skills development in Childcare, Adult-care, Domestic Assistant, Housekeeping and Hospitality Management.
Dewdrop Foundation continued its ongoing collaboration/partnership with Prof. Bart Nnaji Foundation in providing scholarships and other education support for indigent youths in rural communities across the States in Nigeria.
Our 2021 activities focused primarily on payment of tuition fees and engagement of teachers for the youths at the nascent Umuode Community secondary school, in Nkanu East LGA, Enugu State Nigeria. DDF also provided financial support to seven (7) indigent undergraduates, including (5 females) this year.
DDF started as an organization whose work largely focused on Caregivers. However, our field experience over the years on the intersecting challenges faced by rights holders, led to our additional focus on community development
