About us

Dewdrop Foundation (DDF) is a not-for-profit organization established in 2002 and duly registered with appropriate government authorities such as (CAC, NPC, SCUML) etc.

DDF started as an organization whose work largely focused on Caregivers. However, our field experience over the years on the intersecting challenges faced by rights holders, led to our additional focus on community development issues as key for addressing and eliminating the root causes of labour and human rights abuses in rural communities.

Our areas right holders / target groups are the disadvantaged and vulnerable groups who are largely women, children, the elderly, youths and domestic workers in the informal care sector.

Our Mission

Dewdrop’s vision is to build inclusive communities where everyone, even the most vulnerable people are empowered, protected, and thrive sustainably.

Our Mission

Our mission is to build the capacity of communities especially the vulnerable populations to become self-reliant and empowered through inclusive governance and sustainable development interventions.

Our Focus Area

At the Dewdrop Foundation, we are driven by a shared commitment to make a lasting and positive impact in the lives of women, youth, the elderly, and vulnerable individuals. By focusing on these vital areas, we strive to build a more inclusive, resilient, and harmonious society for present and future generations.

Women & Youth Empowerment

We strive to unlock the potential of women and young individuals by providing them with the necessary tools, resources, and opportunities. Through workshops, mentorship programs, and skill-building initiatives, we equip them with the knowledge and confidence to succeed in various aspects of life.

Care of the Elderly & Vulnerable Persons

We advocate for the prevention of elder violence and abuse in communities through sensitization and awareness campaigns, policy advice and established a platform (safe space) – called Seenagers Associations, this safe space gives the elderly a voice to speak about issues of concern to them.

Community Development

We achieve our Community Development objectives by implementing the “GHEEES Model” as follows:

  • For an inclusive Community Governance structure and processes, with enhanced economic growth in which community members must:
  • Be Healthy
  • Get Education and skills
  • Promote Entrepreneurship
  • Protect/sustain their Environment and natural resources
  • Ensure adequate Security is in place
